Stanford University’s Chinese Cultural Research Center’s newly appointed Dr. Dien and his wife will come from Tokyo on the 30th.
Before Prof. Dien joined Stanford [Stanford‘s faculty], he once taught at the University of Hawaii’s Chinese Literature department. His Chinese name is known as Dr. Ding Aibo.
This Chinese studies scholar is continuing to head Dr. Nivison’s Chinese Cultural Research Center in Stanford. This research center is located on National Taiwan University’s campus. Dr. Nivison will return to America and Stanford University in September.
Dr. Dien once came to Free China to study history two and a half years in 1956. His wife is from Taiwan province.
